Program Participants search for available Home Care Workers by entering their zip code and deciding which Home Care Worker best fits their needs. Each Home Care Worker has a profile, so Program Participants can make an informed decision about hiring a new worker. After a participant selects a worker that he or she would like to hire, the worker will be required to complete the Participant Directed Service (PDS) new hire process through PPL.

Program Participants directly employ their Home Care Workers. That means they can recruit, hire, manage, supervise, and dismiss their workers as necessary. PPL is not the employer.
